Betila was born in 2007 and lives in the North-West region of Cameroon. She lives with her mother and four siblings, including her twin brother, Betrand. Betila’s mother does subsistence farming and has no income to pay for her children’s school fees and other basic needs. As a consequence, Betila and her siblings have not attended school for a year.
In Betila’s short life, she has already faced some terrible traumas and has a small baby girl at home with her. However, she dreams of returning to school and completing her education so that she can earn a living and take care of her daughter.
Betila’s favourite subject at school is history. In her leisure time, she enjoys visiting friends and family.
When asked what she would like to have, Betila said that she would like to have some chickens. She enjoys keeping them and the eggs will provide nutritious food for the family.
Betila would like to become a tailor when she finishes her education.
Sponsorship will allow Betila to return to school with all the stationery, exercise books, textbooks and uniform that she needs. Your help will also mean that Betila and her baby can access healthcare if they are unwell, and receive nutritious food that will benefit their whole family.
If you sponsor Betila, you will receive monthly reports. These reports will include photos of Betila, and will inform you of what Betila has been doing and how your sponsorship money is being spent.
Betila's brother, Betrand, is also looking for a sponsor. Please click here to see his profile.
We have three levels of sponsorship, starting at £20 per month. Your help will change Betila’s life and help her to have a more positive future.
