Age: 10

Bill Bright was born in 2010 in the Boyo region of Cameroon. A couple of years ago, violence caused by the Anglophone crisis forced Bill Bright’s mother to take him and his sister Pearl to live in Yaounde, the capital city.

Bill Bright got as far as class 5 of primary school, but the move to the city took its toll on his mother’s finances and he was forced to stop his education. Bill Bright’s mother runs a small business selling bagged water. However, this brings in very little income and she does not have the money to support her children or send them to school. When she met with Janet, our fieldworker, she stressed how upset she was that her children are not getting the education they deserve.

Bill Bright used to enjoy school and is desperate to return.

In his spare time, Brill Bright likes to preach. He is an avid church goer and wants to be a pastor when he grows up.

Bill Bright’s favourite food is eggs and his favourite colour is white.

Sponsorship will allow Bill Bright to return to school with all the books, stationery and other equipment he needs. Your help will also pay for nutritious food for Bill Bright and his family, access to healthcare her if he is unwell, and other important basics such as clothing.

If you sponsor Bill Bright, you will receive monthly reports. These reports will include photos of Bill Bright, and inform you of what Bill Bright has been doing and how your sponsorship money is being spent.

We have three levels of sponsorship, starting at £20 per month. Your help will change life and the future for Bill and his family.

Bill's sister, Pearl, is also looking for a sponsor. Please click here to see her profile.
