Study Sessions in Yaounde'

Our newly launched Study Sessions in Yaoundé provide essential academic support for children living in challenging circumstances. This project aims to enhance literacy skills and academic performance, ensuring every child has the opportunity to succeed.

The idea

The study sessions project was created in response to the educational challenges faced by children in Yaoundé. Many lack quiet spaces and time for studying. By offering structured study sessions, we’re providing a crucial support system that allows the children to focus on their education without distractions.

The result

We will implement weekly study sessions over eight weeks, each lasting four hours. Guided by a learning mentor, children will receive two hours of homework assistance and one hour dedicated to reading from library books. Importantly, every session will include a nutritious meal, ensuring that the children are both healthy and ready to learn.

The impact

The impact of this project is expected to be significant. By providing a dedicated learning environment and essential resources, we aim to help the children to improve their academic performance and literacy skills. Additionally, these sessions will encourage a sense of community and support.
