Cyril was born in 2010 and lives in Bamenda, which is in the English-speaking part of Cameroon. He lives with his uncle and three brothers and sisters. Sadly, Cyril’s father died in the Anglophone crisis, leaving the family without an income. Cyril’s mother does subsistence farming, which brings in some food. However, she has no money to pay for school fees, healthcare or other basics for herself and her children.
Thanks to a generous donor, Cyril has recently received the good news that after several years out of education, he will return to school this September. His school fees are paid until the end of the academic year, so we will need a sponsor or donor to help him to continue with school from September 2024 onwards. Cyril tells us that he stopped his education during Class 5, and his favourite subject was English. When he grows up, Cyril would like to become a motor mechanic.
Cyril likes eating rice and his favourite colour is blue. When asked what he would like to have, Cyril loves playing with his friends, and would love to own a story book.
Sponsorship will allow Cyril to continue in school with all the required stationery, exercise books, textbooks, and uniform. Your help will also mean that Cyril can access healthcare if he is unwell, and receive nutritious food that will benefit his whole family.
If you sponsor Cyril, you will receive monthly reports. These reports will include photos of Cyril, and will inform you of what Cyril has been doing and how your sponsorship money is being spent.
We have three levels of sponsorship, starting at £20 per month. Your help will change Cyril’s life and allow him, for the first time, to dream of a more positive future.
