Shamma

Age: 8

Shamma was born in 2015, which means she is currently eight years old. She lives in Bamenda, which is in the Boyo region of Cameroon, with her aunties and cousins. Shamma has a mother but she only does small farming so is unable to financially support Shamma and her three brothers and sisters.

Shamma has her school fees paid for this academic year - she is in Class 3 of primary school. However, she desperately needs a sponsor to help her with her ongoing schooling and basic needs. Shamma’s favourite subject is Maths. She loves eating rice and soup and her favourite colour is red. Shamma tells us she really wants to become a doctor when she is older.

This is a perfect time for Shamma to find a sponsor, as she will be able to continue her education without the interruptions that so many of our older children have had. Sponsorship will allow Shamma to attend school with all books, stationery and other equipment she needs. Your help will also pay for nutritious food for Shamma and her family, access to healthcare if she is unwell, and other important basics such as clothing and shoes.

If you sponsor Shamma, you will receive monthly reports. These reports will include photos of Shamma, and inform you of what Shamma has been doing and how your sponsorship money is being spent.

We have three levels of sponsorship, starting at £20 per month. Your help will change life and the future for Shamma and her family.
