Back to School Appeal
Every September, children across Cameroon return to school for a new academic year. For those already matched with sponsors, this is a time of excitement—new uniforms, textbooks, paid school fees, and the chance to continue learning without worry.
But for children still waiting for support, the new term brings uncertainty.
The idea
Our Back to School Appeal is a yearly campaign to make sure no child is left behind. While our sponsorship programme provides ongoing support to many students, each year we also meet children who are ready to start or continue school but haven’t yet found a sponsor.
This appeal helps us raise the funds needed to get those children into school for the new academic year—covering fees, supplies, uniforms, and other essentials.
Why now?
This year, we’re focusing on getting every child ready for the September 2025 school start. In previous years, thanks to our generous community, we've managed to support every single child on our list—and we’re determined to do the same again this year.
These children are bright, motivated, and ready to learn. What’s standing in their way is not a lack of will—but a lack of funds.
The progress so far
We’ve had an incredible response in previous years, and we've already secured places for many sponsored children to return to school in 2025.
But several children still need help this year. We've shared their individual stories and fundraising pages so you can get to know them and support directly.
How can you help?
If you or someone you know is in a position to donate, we’d be so grateful. Every donation, no matter the size, brings a child one step closer to the education they deserve.
