Successes
Over the last few years, Children of Cameroon has completed some brilliant projects, with positive results for the children and the broader communities we work with.

Below is a small selection of these projects.
Study Sessions Pilot: A Success in Yaoundé
In spring 2025, we launched a pilot programme in Yaoundé, offering structured study sessions to support children facing barriers to learning. With six children attending weekly sessions that combined homework help, guided reading, and nutritious meals, the impact was clear boosted confidence, improved literacy, and real academic progress.

Art Parties
We love to host art parties where children from different parts of Cameroon come together to express themselves through painting and creativity. These sessions are full of fun, colour, and imagination, and they often finish with a healthy shared meal that builds a sense of community. On one occasion, the children's artwork was turned into Christmas tree decorations for the Crediton Christmas Tree Festival—just one example of how their creativity shines beyond the session.

Easter Swimming and Sports
Easter is a cherished time for our children, and following the success of 2023’s celebrations, we aimed to create unforgettable experiences once again in 2024. With a fun-filled day, including swimming lessons and lunch, the children reported to have had a brilliant day, and we’re happy to have created new friendships, as well as learning new skills, such as how to swim.
Christmas Dresses
Every child deserves to feel special during the holiday season. Our Christmas Dress Appeal ensures that children without sponsors can choose their own outfits, making Christmas a truly memorable occasion. With your support, we’ve enabled many children to select new outfits for Christmas. This is an aspect of Christmas many of the children feel strongly about, making it one of our most important and worthwhile projects. Learn how these outfits bring joy and pride to our children during this time of year.

Catch-Up Classes
In summer 2024, we launched a pilot program in Belo, providing specialised catch-up classes designed to enhance reading skills for our determined children. With eleven children participating in three lessons per week, incredible progress was made—averaging a two-level improvement in reading ability.
Crediton Christmas Tree Festival
Children of Cameroon proudly participated in the Crediton Christmas Tree Festival. Our children showcased their artistic sides through decorations made from their original handprints and artwork. This event celebrated the children’s artistry, and we’re very proud to have shown our local community their artwork. The children did such a brilliant job, and their decorations, in our opinion, really stole the show.
